Every believer prays in their own different way and still, our loving God hears everyone but getting an answer can be a whole different story. It may surprise you to find that one of the biggest reasons believers struggle with prayer is because of all the wrong teaching they’ve received about it. Jesus Christ commanded us to seek the kingdom of God FIRST and His righteous and these things shall be added unto you (Mat 6:33 KJV). There is a particular reason why Jesus Christ ordered us to seek God’s kingdom FIRST as our top priority rather than praying for material things. According to this verse, we shouldn’t pray for material things as our priority if they will be given unto us as an addition. Many people are so self-centered, and they have no idea about seeking the kingdom of God.
If you have been praying over something and God hasn’t answered you yet, let me say this if God isn’t fixing your situation, He is using the same situation to fix you for His kingdom’s sake. Now here the question; how do we seek the kingdom of God? There are many ways to seek the kingdom of God, but this article covers how to seek the kingdom of God through our prayers. However, there are things we can pray for that God will always answer. But why does he always answer them? Because those prayers contain the desire, we have to grow in Him and see more of Him in our lives.
Here are 10 prayers God always answers, without fail.
1. “Help me to be led by the Holy Spirit.”
The bible says in Romans 8:14 “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God (KJV)” this means if you want your prayers to be heard you must pray in spirit and allow the Holy Spirit to lead you in everything.
Our minds are bombarded by images, thoughts, opinions, and information every day. As we all know, what goes in is what comes out. Still, we can’t just totally shut ourselves off from society and the media. Let the Spirit of God lead your life and in every decision you make. It is best to ask the Lord to align our mind with His as we allow to be led by the Holy Spirit because those who are led by the spirit of God are His children. Let me ask you this question, does the Holy Spirit dictate all your decisions?
It is the only Holy Spirit that can produce Christ-like character in you. This process of changing us to be more like Him is called sanctification. You can’t reproduce the character of Jesus on your own or by your own strength.
2. “Use me to glorify you.”
One of the Lord’s greatest desires is to use us to glorify Him. Sometimes it can be hard to know what to do or where God is directing us. Simply ask Him and He will answer. It could be something as big as sharing His word or starting a non-profit for a specific cause or something small, but just as powerful, like buying a meal for a homeless person. It could also be using the unique talents he has given you to reach other people for Him. We are saved to serve not to sit down.
3. “Forgive my sins.”
We serve a loving and merciful God and every one of us is sinners. There is no such thing as a perfect Christian. We all stumble and sometimes backslide, but by opening our hearts and confessing our sins we can be redeemed (Matthew 6:12). The Lord died to save us from our sins. Not just that day on the cross, but every day of our lives.
4. “Reveal yourself to me.”
In the busyness of life, it can be hard to see and hear where the Lord is leading us. If we simply stop and ask Him to reveal Himself to us, He will, and it’s usually in awesome and amazing ways. He reveals Himself in different ways to each one of us. Jeremiah 29:13 says You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. To some of us, He speaks through an inner voice, through visions and dreams, through His word (Bible) or through His servants. He can also use your current situation to reveal Himself to you.
The bible says in John 14:21 “He who has My commandments and keep them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” If you’re really struggling, take some time during the day to just get quiet and ask Him to reveal Himself in your life. Then get into the habit of noticing the smallest of things during your day. He doesn’t always reveal Himself in big ways. Sometimes He reveals Himself in small ways as well.
5. “Give me your wisdom.”
You can’t build a life of peace and success on foolish choices and impulsive decisions. The Bible says in James 1:5-6, If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. We all need the wisdom to enable us to make a Godly and wise decision.
When you are facing a situation where you don’t know what you should do, ask Him to give you His wisdom. We sometimes get stressed out at some point which may lead us to make a decision that is not aligned with God’s will. Proverbs 3:5 reminds, to trust only in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your understanding. The gift of wisdom is a special ability that God gives to the body of Christ to know His mind through the Holy Spirit which gives us insight into how given knowledge may best be applied and to give direction to perform His duties and bring total peace in us.
6. “Strengthen my obedience.”
We all know that when the Lord asks us to do something, we need to be obedient. However, at times it can be very, very hard. For example, if we are waiting for something to happen, it can be hard not to take matters into our own hands. When you have days of anxiety and doubt, ask the Lord to strengthen your obedience. Ask Him to help you to do what you have been commanded to do. For me, whenever I hear or see the phrase, “Be still and know that I am God.” it reminds me to be still and obedient. He is working even if I can’t see it.
7. “Help me spread your love.”
The second commandment our savior Jesus Christ gave us is this: “Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these” (Mark 12:31). Which means, do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
Our world gets crazy every day and the love of many has grown cold as the bible warns in Matthew 24:12. We know the best way to interact with people is to show the love of the Lord, but sometimes it’s hard to know how to do this. When you ask Him to help you spread His love, He will. You may visit people in the hospital or prison, you may help an orphan to pay for school fees or help a widow pay for her groceries especially during this time of global pandemic of coronavirus or you may help to drive a neighbor to a doctor’s appointment.
8. “Give me clarity.” Understanding
Walking this path called life can be difficult and muddled at times. The last thing the Lord wants is for you to go down the wrong path or make the wrong choice. It is in our best interest to ask for God’s guidance before making our own decision as He knows better the best path to take. It may take time and patience, but the Lord will always answer a prayer for clarity. Jeremiah 29:12-13 says “In those days you will pray, and I will listen. If you seek me wholeheartedly you will find me.”
9. “Help me find peace.”
Jesus Christ promised in John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” Our own lives can be chaotic let alone all the things that are going on in the world. With everything going on, finding peace can seem almost impossible. The Lord does not want us living in a state of anxiety and peril, he will always answer and help us find peace.
John 16:33 says “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world, you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
10. “Align my heart and mind with Yours.”
This world can be a mean-spirited place and it can be hard sometimes not to hold judgment, resentment, or other feelings in our hearts. By asking the Lord to align our hearts with His and asking for forgiveness and direction. He can cleanse us of the toxic things that build up in our hearts and be more aligned with Him. He loves us and wants us to be more like Him.
Here is a prayer God loves and always answer. Please share this article if you have been blessed in one way or another. God Bless You All.
