The reason why Christianity is not as effective as it should be is that the church has lost its mandate, position, and original assignment. And the church has been preaching the works of Jesus but not the message Jesus was preaching for the last three years of His ministry. The Bible shows clearly the only reason why Jesus Christ was sent in Luke 4:43 (KJV) “And He said unto them, I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also: for therefore am I sent”. This simple scripture shows what brought Jesus to this planet earth.
A kingdom concept is completely opposite to democracy, Jesus Christ came to preach about a kingdom of God. The bible is not a religious book, it is a legal document, it is a constitution of the heavenly kingdom. We have been so religiously democratic and ignorant to the kingdom of God and the real purpose of the coming of Messiah and we want to live like the majority because of democratic society we have accepted it. In the kingdom there is no vote, in a democracy, the power is in the vote or the majority has power, in the kingdom the power is in a king, in a democracy, there is a president is elected by the people, in the kingdom a king choose citizen.
What Went Wrong?
Everything has been messed up in the church because people choose not to be led by their king but a worldly system. That’s why the church function in democracy way. In a democracy, the constitution is the results of the people’s thoughts for example in America their constitution begins with a word We, the
people but in the kingdom of God it begins I, the Lord, in the democracy, a constitution is a results of people’s thoughts, in the kingdom the king’s word becomes a law, in democracy people, create their own law, that’s why they can change whichever way they want, in the kingdom as a citizen you can not
change the law, in the kingdom the authority is not in the cabinet, is in the person, in a democracy, the authority is the people, in democracy, you can have a referendum and change the law, in the kingdom, there is no referendum you cannot change the law, that’s why the bible says my word stands forever.
The word democracy is a Greek word means Demos ‘common people’ and Kratos ‘strength’. In a democracy, people follow what the majority is doing. So religion has become a democracy and it wasn’t the original intention of God and Christianity has become a religion with democracy practice and many churches are running as an independent and democratic organization, Christians want to live like everyone, people want to live anyhow, they don’t want to be led by the Holy Spirit as the bible says Those who are led by the Spirit of God, are the sons of God (Romans 8:14), they forget that they have been set apart and live as their master. When a king makes a statement it becomes a law. If Jesus said homosexuality is an abomination if you disagree with that you can’t vote against that, even if you gather 200 bishops around the world they can’t change that but in a democracy, people change things the way they want, that’s why we see homosexuality in a Christian community and church leaders can’t even address it the way the bible does.
Most Christians are simply religious people and we all know in the bible what the religious people are, what the Pharisees did to Jesus, they betrayed Him and killed Him because they rejected His kingdom laws and principles, they hated His teaching. The early last year of 2019, it was published by the Catholic Pope that the Bible must be updated because we have some social and emotional problems which the bible doesn’t talk about but they forget that a word of King can never be changed and twisted for a personal or political reason. However, I am not terrified of that because they are simply religious people they are not in the kingdom of God.
In the kingdom we just follow the King’s law, we don’t follow what the majority say or what the society accepts or rejects, we just follow and obey what the King says. Lastly, true salvation brings transformation and radical change that allows the Holy Spirit to move and lead you in everything and say like Apostle Paul in Galatians 2: 20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
