The word kingdom refers to kingship, reign, realm or sovereignty and the Hebrew meaning of the word kingdom is Malkuth (מַמלָכָה) which refers to a dominion. So the kingdom of God has nothing to do with religion but it is the spiritual realm over which God reigns as King. And this phrase “The kingdom of God or the Kingdom of Heaven” occurs frequently in the New Testament, primarily used by Jesus Christ in all four Gospels. As a matter of fact, Jesus declared why He was sent in Luke 4:43 (NKJV) “but He said to them, “I must preach the kingdom of God to the other cities also because for this purpose I have been sent.” not to have a religion but through Him the world to be saved.
Therefore, We need to find out what the Kingdom of God is all about and pursue it daily according to
our Lord Jesus Christ’s message in Matthew 6:33 (KJV) “But seek ye first the kingdom of God
and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you”. You can only seek what you don’t have and you can only find something you lost. Since Adam and Eve sinned against God they lost the connection with God and they lost His Spirit, their assignment and mandate here on earth. And Jesus came to restore what mankind lost which is connection and God’s Spirit. That’s why He ordered us to seek the kingdom of God as our first priority because we lost it.
It is shocking when you read the 4 gospels in the bible, the only message Jesus Christ
preached about was the kingdom of heaven. I gave my life to Christ on May 7, 2011, the night I will never forget when I met Him, it was a day I received my award from Google in London and we went to pub right after the event to celebrate the trophy and I left the pub drunk and when I entered to my Hotel room I laid down on the bed for a while when I had a heaven’s visitation and two seconds I was on my knees crying. That’s where the journey began from since then I committed to seek Him daily but I have barely heard such kind of message or have an emphasis on the kingdom of God that enables us to go deeper in the understanding the heavenly kingdom, I heard the preaching on miracles and healing, deliverance, prosperity, Holy Spirit etc….but there is no emphasis or contact to this Kingdom of Heaven yet it was the only the reason Jesus was sent (in Luke 4:43).
The most important thing in communication is a concept and if I want you to understand
what I am saying I have to make sure the same concept I possess in my mind I want you to
possess otherwise if you use a concept that is not in my mind, you get a misconception. So
the key to communication is having the same concept otherwise people misconceive
the message and then we misinterpret it and mislead the generations.
The first description God gave a man is in Genesis 1:26 and it’s talking about the whole human being on earth. God said let’s make a man in our image and likeness and let them have dominion over the fish, the birds, etc. First of all the word image doesn’t refer to physical features, it refers to character and nature. Because God is Spirit, He doesn’t have the body like human beings as we do. He gave us His Spirit which will enable us to communicate with Him here on the earth. And in that passage, we find two important things. Man and dominion.
The word “Man” means “Ish” in Hebrew which means “Strength” and it also means “Spirit” and also the word man is a plural word, God is not referring to one person but pieces, that’s why He uses a pronoun them not him (Let them have dominion and control over everything). Today we use the word “Human” which means in Hebrew “Adam” refers to the first human. According to Hebrew literature the word Adam, “A” stands for Aleph and it means also to resemble to the Higher and “Dam” means blood and soil to refer to the human body which was made in the soil and has blood as well but also with the spirit of the creator in it.
So every spirit being called a man has got a moral character and nature from God, sometimes we don’t act like that but we possess genetics for it. Here is why God created these pieces so that they can
have dominion over the earth filled with God’s Spirit. The word dominion in Hebrew means
Mamlaka means a kingdom or authority to enforce which means what God gave Adam is not a religion but a dominion to king over.
So a kingdom is a territory ruled, controlled, managed, governed and dominated by a king,
that’s what a king does, he dominates a domain, when a king dominates a territory it becomes
a kingdom, a king with domain which gives a kingdom. Therefore a man was given rulership
as a purpose on earth not to worship because you must worship a God you know. Worship
has got to do with relationship and rulership has got to do with a mandate.
We are busy worshipping but we are not dominating the earth the way God intended to and
when Jesus Christ was about to descend back to heaven he gave us the mandate, the mission
to go to the corner of the earth so that we can dominate the world. That’s why there are so
ungodly things around us, the whole worldly system is corrupt, politics, religion,
entertainment, education, law, social life, and economy because the church has lost the mandate, the church is not pursuing the mission to affect the world. We lost our purpose, position, and
assignment in our mission.
When God created Adam and Eve, He placed them in Eden, the word Eden is translated as Eden in all the languages but in the Hebrew Eden means atmosphere but it also means:
Spot or mark, a location God made for them and placed everything they need (environment), paradise sense.
The presence of God, the Glory, anointing, and presence of God was with them all the time
The gate of heaven, they had direct communication with the Creator with no interruption
Moment, every day was the best moment to enjoy, to love and cherish
Delight, Abundant, life with no sin, no trouble, no panic, no sickness, no poverty, no stress, etc…
But when they disobeyed and sinned against God, they lost what God created them for, they
lost God’s image which is His spirit and immediately they were taken out of Eden and they started living in the darkness because sin has separated them automatically with God, the Hebrew meaning of the word darkness is ignorance. So they started living a life in the darkness, a life without the presence of God with no communication of Heaven. Because they lost the moral character and nature of God and have a sinful nature of Satan. But we thank God for Jesus Christ who came to redeem, to save, to reconcile and restore what mankind lost.
Matthew4:17 is the first public statement of Jesus, he just came out from the wilderness,
fasting 40 days and nights and He preached to repent, for the kingdom of God has arrived.
The word repent means to change your thinking or the state of your mind, to change your direction, so He came so we should change the way we used to live before and have a Godly nature again so that we can receive the Holy Spirit that will enable us to connect back to God again and to be called His sons and daughters and live a life that is led by His Spirit (Roman 8:14). Jesus didn’t come to condemn the world because it was already condemned but through Him the world to be saved (John 3:17).
The following part of this teaching will inspire and explain more about the kingdom of how to seek it.
God bless you!!
